Visual Acuity Test

A commonly known and identified eye exam. A visual acuity test determines your eyes’ ability to discern shapes and details but identifying letters or symbols from a certain distance. You will first be asked to read an eye chart. If this reveals a visual acuity problem, the optometrist will then perform a refraction test using a phoropter.
